About Me

I am a tenured research faculty at the Horst Görtz Institute for IT Security at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany and hold a guest researcher position at the Digital Security group at Radboud University, The Netherlands.

Previously, I was a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Digital Security group at Radboud University, The Netherlands. In 2018, I was briefly affiliated with the Software Systems group at Utrecht University. Prior to joining Utrecht University, I was a postdoctoral researcher (mid-2015 til 2017) in the Digital Security Group at Radboud University. I received my PhD from Deakin University, Melbourne (Australia) in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. Lynn Batten. I completed my Bachelor of IT Honours (with First Class) and Bachelor of IT (major in IT Security and Mathematical Modelling) at Deakin University in 2011 and 2010, respectively.

Since 2016-2020, I have been a board member of the Radboud Women of Computer Science (RWoCS) group and Halkes Women Faculty Network at Radboud University. In 2018, I was steering committee member of the Women in Information and Computing Sciences network (WICS) at Utrecht University.

  • 06 Jan. 2020: Together with Andreas Peter, I am track co-chair for the Security and Privacy track for ICT Open 2020 -- event has been postponed to 2021
  • 24 June 2019: I will give an invited lecture at one of the Summer Schools organized as part of the 2019 International Summer Schools on Cyber Security in Padova, Italy
  • 12 June 2019: Radboud University awarded NWA-ORC consortium proposal on INTERSECT - An Internet of Secure Things (co-PI)
  • 23 July 2018: I received a travel grant from the European initiative, EPIC, to visit Yuval Yarom and Vanessa Teague in Australia
  • 22 Jan. 2018: I will give an invited talk at the Cybersecurity track of ICT.Open 2018 on 20 March 2018
  • 02 Jan. 2018: I joined the Software Systems group Utrecht University as an Assistant Professor.
  • 20 Apr. 2017: I am a PC member for the research track of the 15th Australasian Data Mining Conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia in August.
  • 22 Feb. 2017: I have been invited to join the Technical PC for the 8th International Conference on Applications and Technologies in Information Security (ATIS 2017) to be held on 06-07 July 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand.
  • 31 Aug. 2016: I am a co-organizer of the 7th annual edition of CrossFyre, to be co-located with EuroCrypt 2017 and Euro S&P 2017 in Paris.
  • 24 Aug. 2016: I was awarded an all-expense paid trip by Google to attend the annual Grace Hopper Conference in Houston, Texas in October. GHC is the largest gathering of women technologists.
